Glimpse of the past: Carnival!
It is time to welcome the international friends as well! For today, we are going for a throwback, to take a glimpse of festive preparations for the carnival that takes place (unfortunately not this year) every year in February, something like the British and American Halloween or the Rio Carnival.
A while ago, we were strolling around the city of Rethimno and there were chariots from last year's festival and I took some pictures. Here they are! They are impressive!

A throwback on a warm cup of chocolate with a marshmallow, because who doesn't want some chocolate in the cold winter days?
In Heraklion the festival took place, and here's a glimpse of it, from the little bit that I got to watch:
Every year, around this time I enjoy listening to Gipsy Kings (and not only then). Djobi djoba cada dia te quiero mas! Volare ohhh cantare oohhhh!

ReplyDeleteI admire your love for the good lifestyle through the carnival time, given most carnivals got cancelled this year, it's only though your blog we can see these pictures.
